Et merde...
DeanCas BigBang

So I really want to sign up as a fanartist (even if I’m not sure the writer I’d end up with would be happy to deal with me haha) but…

I’m seriously wondering if I can be sure the story I’d work for will end in a happy manner. Because of course I’d love to read it, but I wouldn’t be able to if it’s a tragic story u_u

So does someone know how it works ? I mean I know we choose what story we draw/manip for based on a summary of it, and then it’s first come first served, but that’s it. Is there a way to ask the writers if they intend for sure to make it happy in the end (I don’t mind if there is the worse kind of angst the whole story, as long as it ends well anyway).

Am I even allowed to be this demanding ? ^^”

amaelangel answered your question: Still looking for COCKLES CHARACTER BLEED FICS guys, pls help ?

Sorry been without internet all day ok i suggest u And in your arms defeated and reconciling hollywood from qthelights cockles writer

Don’t worry ^^ And well I know those ones too of course, I’m not sure I explained myself very well, I’m a big cockles fan and obviously already read tons of fics, and qthelights is one of the most popular author of the ship so yeah ^^” But again, those are ‘simple’ cockles fics, they don’t have character bleed on them ;) but thanks a lot for trying !

(also if you don’t know it, and if you liked Reconciling Hollywood, you might want to find and read Permission Slip and its sequel Scandalous by Ru_salki99 ;) )

Why do people ask weird questions during conventions ?

I think that we really should try to understand why people ask those questions to Misha, any actors really, but yeah mainly Supernatural’s cast.

I really would like to hear those people’s reasons, it’s kind of fascinating. Because OF COURSE tell them they would do them for a chocolate bar, or that they’d like to watch them in other shows as long as they are shirtless, doesn’t mean they actually will do that. Have sex with some of their fans (especially if they are happily married) or play in a mature rated show just for the sake of their fans. And those fans KNOW IT (or at least I really hope they do). So why asking for it ?

Let’s try to imagine in what kind of reasoning they went through.

They love Misha/Jensen/Jared/insert nice smiling adorable talented SpN actor of your choice. That moment is a very rare one or even a one-in-a-life-time thing where they’ll be able to talk to him.

Now that particular actor is really a nice person, but also extremely funny who can come up with some witty come back, who also can be quite sarcastic and sometime love trolling. In any case, they are still respectful as long as people don’t totally exaggerate (like with that fan who bit money meant for Random Act but just lied to get the attention right) and they are certainly not the kind to suddenly yell at their fans and insult them.

So fans feel safe with them. They may be anxious and shy sometimes, but most of the time people will just go and know that it’s gonna be okay somehow.

My opinion now is that they’ll then think of something to ask/do/bring/etc that will make them stand up. So that the actor they love and admire remembers them. Something hilarious enough to make those already funny persons to laugh :

Or something touching, like that Jared’s fan who didn’t speak English and had written in a paper what she wanted to tell him : simple and sweet, he gave her a hug for that and asked if he could keep the message.

But sometimes people also go for sarcastic or pervy thinking that since the actors themselves use sarcasm or laugh and go with pervy too depending on the situation, it’s okay. As long as they make a strong and indelible impression on them. Actually the craziest is better right ?

WRONG.

I’m not saying everyone do that, but I’d bet a lot of people follow that logic. And guys you are so fucking wrong if it’s why you do that.

Can someone explain to me why some people find it offending the fact that shippers express their opinions or desires out of the fandom-world?

onamelancholyhill:

I simply don’t get it.

Because they’re scared.

Scared that since we are so numerous, that since a lot of destiel shippers especially are clever people who write and argument quite logically, calmly and yet passionately, someone will end up listen to them.

And then not knowing at all how a canon relationship like this would go, they are scared of it, because it is unknown, because society say that it is weird and shameful, so they are scared of it and of their own reaction to it - being negative or positive, they don’t even know that either and that just scares them even more : because if it is negative they risk to be called homophobic, and even it it is still not something illegal it is already very badly seen ; if it is positive, it would make them weird/deviant too in the eye of the rest of this closeted society.

It’s just about fiction, and yet they all know that somehow if it happens it will have some important effect if the medias take to it, spread it and don’t stop trending it.

Also in an other note, on shipping in general and not just slash it’s also an unfortunate effect on the generalized misogyny in my opinion : the fact that contrary to talking about technical points of a movie/show/book, about the acting, the directing and other stuff, which are taught in schools and then have an acceptable academic side (ruled by men most of the time), shipping is about love and emotions, it is girly, and stupid, and superficial. Obviously.

Hey, so I saw your ask about Destiel vs Sterek. It bothered me, because those are two of my main otps and while it's your right to dislike certain ships, to say one is more valid than the other is complete bullshit. If you choose to ignore this message, feel free to do so. But next time you decide to give your opinion, please use phrases like 'I ship a/b because I think...' instead of 'this is ridiculous!'. Don't do ship hate. No one likes it.

Hello,

I suppose I get why someone could have take it bad, but if you try to think about what I said just a second without the shipper’s defense-shield up maybe you would see what I mean really? I wasn’t HATING on it (neither did I said it was more or less valid).

Sure I don’t understand it, I don’t like it, I don’t even like the show. BUT, what I said was more about the COMPARISON.

If the person had said something like : ”why I rather ship sterek rather than destiel : *insert reasons*” rather than “why sterek is better than destiel” not only I would have said nothing (I wouldn’t even have cared) but it would have also at least made sense.

What made me a bit upset is that someone is not happy with a ship and went posting about it to kinda make people think that too, BECAUSE that person wants to SEE sexy shirtless guys making out.

Saying it is BETTER - and therefore denying the fact that emotions, true feelings, friendship, serious issues etc, are way more important, interesting and good - because they might become canon one day JUST to attract the attention, and not for those good reasons.

It just shows to the world, to the people who don’t ship and who look down to all of us shippers, that all it is about is looks/appearances, and makes them think we’re all just stupid and crazy horny fangirls.

And more than me merely stating my astonishment, THAT is insulting.
